Data Management Software 5.1

The BAC Global Surveyor System has been developed as a dedicated Cathodic Protection field data gathering system.

All data is collected and stored by the Surveyor data loggers and processed by a computer using the BAC Data Management Software. The data can be processed and displayed graphically or numerically.

The most common use is to analyse and present data collected during a closeinterval potential survey (CIPS), although the software is equally suitable for tasks such as displaying stray current recordings.

Global Surveyor System Data Management Software Version 5.1 represents a complete re-writing of the software and brings compatibility with all current versions of Microsoft Windows® operating systems including Windows Vista®.

This version is an upgrade from Version 5.0 and brings some refinements and new features as a result of customer feedback.

These new features include a new graphical interface for processing data, a new magnification tool to zoom in on problem areas plus analysis functions to compare data with earlier surveys.

A new data file format is introduced with this version, whilst retaining backward compatibility with earlier versions of the BAC software. Old data files can still be opened and converted to the new format.

Data can also be saved as delimited text files. The data can then be imported into other software for analysis. Bespoke analysis solutions using Microsoft Excel® are available.
